Ratatouille with potatoes and minced meat: how to prepare the dish in a new way
Ratatouille is a delicious casserole that can be made with all the vegetables you have in the fridge. In addition, the dish can be supplemented with minced meat. In combination with a spicy tomato sauce, it will open uo with a completely different flavor.
Food blogger and nutritionist Alex (mil_alexx) shared a recipe for ratatouille casserole with potatoes and minced meat on his Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- minced meat - 500 g
- potatoes - 400 g
- tomatoes - 250 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- eggs - 1 pc.
- breadcrumbs - 3 tbsp.
- tomato sauce - 3 tbsp.
- vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
- herbs
- salt, pepper, chili pepper, paprika, cumin
Method of preparation:
1. Chop the onion and herbs.
2. Mix the minced meat, onion, herbs, breadcrumbs, egg and spices. Stir until smooth.
3. Form small flat cutlets.
4. Cut the tomatoes and potatoes into thin slices.
5. Mix the potatoes with oil, salt and chili.
6. Put the cutlets, potatoes, and tomatoes in a baking dish. Fill the entire mold in this way, alternating like in a classic ratatouille.
7. Mix tomato paste, salt and pepper separately. Add water and mix well.
8. Pour the resulting liquid over the casserole.
10. Cover the mold with wet parchment. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour.
