Ramen soup in 15 minutes: how to cook a Japanese dish by all the rules
Traditional ramen soup always contains noodles, green onions, and a boiled egg.
You don't need a lot of complicated ingredients to make it at home or surprise your guests with an Asian dish. The bbcgoodfood.com publication offers to repeat an easy soup recipe that takes 15 minutes or less to prepare.
You will need:
- 80 g of Asian instant noodles;
- A bunch of green chopped onions;
- Half a head of pak choi cabbage (can be replaced with Peking cabbage in a pinch);
- 1 egg;
- 1 spoon of sesame seeds;
- Chili sauce for serving.
Preparation:
1. Steam the noodles in a large bowl, if they come with seasonings, add them too.
2. Chop the onion and pak choi, and put in a bowl.
3. Boil the ramen egg for 6 minutes, peel it, cut it in half, and add it to the soup.
4. Fry the sesame seeds in a frying pan and add them to the soup. Top the dish with sauce.
