Quick potatoes in a pan in halves: better than rustic
If you need to cook a meal for the whole family quickly, potatoes are always a great option. You don't need to chop them into strips or dice them – just cut them into halves or leave them whole. And you can use a frying pan to avoid preheating the oven for a long time.
The idea of cooking quick potatoes in a frying pan in halves was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname recepti_dariko.
Ingredients:
- potatoes – 1 kg
- hard cheese – 50 g
- butter – 30 g
- garlic – 3 cloves
- salt
- favorite spices
- fresh or frozen herbs
Method of preparation:
1. Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into large pieces (you can leave them whole). Boil until tender in salted water.
2. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
3. Melt the butter in a frying pan, add the garlic and spices, stir, and fry for half a minute.
4. Add the boiled potatoes, mix, and fry until crispy on all sides.
5. Sprinkle with grated cheese, cover, and keep on fire for a few minutes until the cheese melts. Sprinkle the cooked potatoes with chopped herbs.
