Cabbage is a very healthy and dietary product that everyone should eat. It contains almost the entire set of vitamins necessary for normal human life: provitamin A, vitamins C, B1, B2, B3, B6, and K. You can cook many delicious dishes with it - from pies and dumplings to delicious salads and pickles.

Blogger, TV presenter, and journalist Alina Shamanska shared a very easy and tasty recipe for pink pickled cabbage, which is very easy to prepare and can be eaten in 24 hours, on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • white cabbage - 1.5 kg
  • beetroot - 1 pc
  • carrot - 1 pc
  • garlic - 0.5 heads
  • hot pepper - to taste

marinade:

  • water - 1 liter
  • sugar - 3 tbsp
  • salt - 3 tbsp
  • 9% vinegar - 0.5 cups
  • bay leaf - 2 pcs
  • peppercorns - 10-15 pcs

Method of preparation:

  1. Wash the cabbage, tear off the top leaves and cut into large pieces.
  2. Peel and chop the beets and carrots, cut the garlic in half, and chop the hot peppers randomly.
  3. For the marinade, mix water with sugar, salt, pepper, and bay leaf and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat, pour in the vinegar, mix thoroughly and pour over the vegetables in the pan.
  4. Then press down and refrigerate for 24 hours.

You will get delicious, crispy pink cabbage that will be a great treat.
