A pita bread roll is a versatile appetizer that will decorate a festive table and serve as a quick snack for every day. It's simple: wrap whatever you have in the fridge in pita bread and enjoy. Everything is suitable for filling: vegetables, hard and cream cheese, meat and ham, minced meat, red fish, tuna, and greens.

Food blogger Dariia with the nickname recepti_dariko shared a recipe for an appetizer roll of pita bread with crab sticks and cheese on her Instagram page.

Recipe for pita bread roll with salty filling

Ingredients:

  • pita bread –1 pc
  • crab sticks – 200 g
  • processed cheese – 2 pcs
  • eggs – 2 pcs
  • dill – 1 bunch
  • garlic – 2 cloves
  • cream cheese – 3 tbsp
  • sour cream – 2 tbsp
  • salt

Method of preparation:

1. Mix cottage cheese and sour cream.

2. Chop the greens. Add it to the cottage cheese.

3. Squeeze the garlic and add salt to the same mass. Mix well.

4. Grate the cheeses. Add to the total mass and mix. This will be the so-called sauce for the dish.

5. Boil the eggs and grate them. Grate the crab sticks in the same way.

6. Spread the pita bread sheet with the sauce, and sprinkle with eggs and crab sticks. Wrap in a roll.

7. Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3-4 hours, preferably overnight. When serving, cut into portions.
