Quick and easy pita bread pie with cottage cheese and berries for tea
If you want a delicious, light, and quick dessert for tea, make it with pita bread. The ideal filling for such a pie would be cottage cheese, berries, nuts, and you can also make savory ones with meat, fish, mushrooms, and vegetables.
Cook Iryna (iren.lazun) shared a recipe for a delicious pita bread pie on Instagram, which will be a great and quick treat for tea.
Ingredients:
- Pita bread – 1 pc
- Cottage cheese – 300 g
- Eggs – 2 pcs
- Berries – 50 g
- Walnuts – 40 g
- Vanilla – a pinch
- Sugar or sweetener – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Mix the cottage cheese with eggs, vanilla and sugar.
2. Unroll the pita bread and spread the filling on top.
3. Sprinkle berries and nuts on top and roll up the pita bread.
4. Brush the top with egg yolk and bake for 20 minutes at 180 °C.
