Puffy varenyky with cherries: how to prepare

Food blogger Volodymmyr Yaroslavskyi definitely belongs to this category of people. That's why he shared a recipe for puffy varenyky with cherries, which his grandmother used to make, on his Instagram.
Ingredients for the dough
- kefir - 200 ml
- flour - 300-350 g
- soda - 5 grams
- salt - a pinch
Ingredients for the filling
- cherries
- sugar
Method of preparation
1. Add salt and baking soda to kefir. Mix quickly, add flour and knead the dough. Let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
2. Roll out 3 mm thick dough on a table and cut out small circles.
3. Put a cherry without a pit on each piece of dough, freshly rolled in sugar, and quickly pinch the edges.
4. Steam for 3-4 minutes.
5. Brush with butter and serve with sour cream.
