Puffy pancakes without milk or kefir: what to add instead
Pancakes are a simple, hearty dish that can be served with your favorite fruit, jams, or yogurt. To make the texture fluffy, housewives often add kefir or milk. But if these ingredients are not available, you can use plain water.
Food blogger Diana (diana.vergeliss) shared her recipe for fluffy pancakes with water on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- warm water - 600 ml
- live yeast - 35 g
- sugar - 4 tbsp
- vanilla sugar - 1 sachet
- sifted flour - you need such an amount that the consistency is a bit like thick sour cream
Method of preparation:
1. Mix water with yeast.
2. Add regular sugar.
3. Add vanilla sugar.
4. Mix everything well.
5. Gradually add flour.
6. Leave in a warm place for 30 minutes to rise.
7. Spoon on the frying pan.
8. Fry over low heat.
