Puffy and tall garlic buns for borscht: how to prepare successful dough

Flavorful garlic and herb buns or pampushky are a great addition to first courses and an alternative to bread. They are easy to prepare. Thanks to the successful yeast dough with milk, they are very fluffy and airy.

Recipe for garlic buns for borscht.

Ingredients:

  • sugar - 25 g
  • butter - 25 g
  • milk - 350 g
  • dry yeast - 7 g
  • flour - 500
  • salt - 10 g
  • egg yolks - 2 pcs
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • parsley
  • salt/pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Combine butter, milk and sugar in a saucepan. Put on fire and heat to a temperature of 40 degrees.

2. Remove from heat and add yeast. Cover with foil and leave for 10-15 minutes.

3. Pour the prepared starter into flour wit salt. Knead the dough for 10-15 minutes. Cover with plastic film and leave in a warm place for 30-40 minutes.

4. Form the dough into balls. Put them on a baking sheet greased with butter, cover with foil and leave for 40-60 minutes.

5. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Brush the buns with egg yolk and bake for 13-15 minutes.

Garlic buns with dry yeast.

6. For the sauce, grate the garlic and chop the parsley. Mix the ingredients with salt and pepper, and add a little water. Pour the sauce over the buns.
