Ingredients for the starter:

  • water - 500 ml
  • pressed yeast - 15 g (dry - 5 grams)
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • flour - 8 tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 850-900 g
  • oil - 3 tbsp

Method of preparation:

1. The water for the starter should be warm (no more than 37 degrees, but not cold).

2. Add sugar, salt and flour (about 8 tablespoons) to the water.

4. Cover with a towel and place in a warm place for 40 minutes.

5. How do determine know if it is ready? It has risen slightly and bubbles have appeared.

6. If it does not rise, just put it in a warmer place.

7. Add flour gradually and knead with a whisk.

8. At some point, it will be difficult to knead and you need to transfer the dough to the table and knead further with oiled hands.

9. You can also use a food processor and knead with a dough attachment, but it is better to do it by hand.

10. Divide the dough into three parts and form the first loaf.

11. Slightly flatten the dough, making an oval about 20 by 10 cm.

12. Roll it up a little bit towards you and pinch it constantly.

13. Secure it very well at the end.

14. Tuck in the ends.

15. Turn over and put on the mold.

16. Make the cuts.

17. Cover the loaves with a slightly damp towel and leave for 30 minutes.

18. Bake at 175 degrees for about 45 minutes.
