One of the best potato dishes is potato pancakes, which can be prepared in different ways, with a filling or sauce. This is a hearty, complete dish for lunch or dinner that can feed the whole family.
Food blogger Yulia with the nickname juli_co.ok shared a recipe for potato pancakes with onions, bacon, and sour cream sauce on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- potatoes - 1 kg
- eggs - 1 pc.
- flour - 1 tbsp
- salt, pepper
- garlic - 4 cloves
- fried onions and cracklings (for serving)
Sauce:
- 15% sour cream
- fresh cucumber
- garlic - 4-5 cloves
- herbs (dill or parsley)
- salt and pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the potatoes, then grind the mass with an immersion blender and squeeze out the excess liquid.
2. Add the egg, flour, and spices to the resulting potato mass. Mix well.
3. Fry the pancakes.
4. Fry the onions and bacon for serving.
5. To make the sauce, chop the garlic, cucumber and herbs. Mix all the necessary ingredients until smooth.
