Potato casserole with beer: an original recipe for a simple dish
The simplest, most affordable, and tasty product is potatoes. It can be used to make a lot of delicious and nutritious dishes, ranging from mashed potatoes to casseroles, zrazy, and pies.
Food blogger Nataliia (mrs.natalischka) shared a recipe for a delicious potato casserole with beer and cheese sauce on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- potatoes – 2 kg
- onion – 1 kg
- oil – 200 g
Sauce:
- beer – 1 glass
- hard cheese – 200 g
- salt, pepper, garlic, nutmeg – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices.
2. Cut the onion into slices and fry in vegetable oil.
3. Sauce: mix beer with sour cream, salt, pepper, grated nutmeg, chopped garlic, and grated cheese.
4. Put potatoes, onions, potatoes, and onions again in layers in a saucepan and pour the sauce over everything, bake for 1.5-2 hours in the oven at 180°C.
The dish is best served hot, with fresh vegetables.
