Potato balls with cheese in 15 minutes: even yesterday's mashed potatoes will do
Yesterday's mashed potatoes can be used to make delicious potato balls. You don't need to use yeast for cooking, but you can add cheese to the dish and serve it with sauce.
Food blogger Roksolana (roksolana.harasymiv) shared a recipe for potato balls with cheese on her Instagram page. To make them have a nice crispy crust and keep their shape, they should be rolled in breadcrumbs.
Ingredients:
- mashed potatoes - 200 g
- hard cheese - 60 g
- eggs - 1 pc
- whole wheat flour - 2 tbsp
- pepper
- hops suneli
- breadcrumbs - 2 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Grate cheese on a fine grater.
2. Mix mashed potatoes, cheese, egg, spices, and flour. Stir until smooth.
3. Form balls out of the finished mass. Roll each one in breadcrumbs.
4. Bake them at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
