Porridge to eat instead of oatmeal for breakfast: a vitamin superfood
Oatmeal is considered a traditional breakfast cereal because it is high in nutrients and fiber. But not everyone likes to eat this product because of its dense texture and viscosity. So you can use another simple idea and make flax porridge. It is very tender and homogeneous and has properties very similar to oatmeal.
The idea of making flax porridge was published on the Instagram page of healthy eating specialist Svitlana Fedorjaka (breakfast_ideaa).
Ingredients:
- flaxseed (white) - 30 g
- coconut or any vegetable milk - 150 g
- banana - 1 piece (100 g)
- cinnamon
- Dates - 2 pieces (or your favorite sweetener) can be left out
How to cook:
1. Pour the flax seeds with milk. If desired, you can take water instead of milk.
2. Leave it overnight.
3. Beat with an immersion blender.
4. Add the banana and cinnamon.
5. Beat well again.
6. Add your favorite fruit to garnish.
