Plum jam that does not stick to the pan: how to make
Plums are the perfect fruit for making not only pies and cakes but also thick, delicious jams. Very often, plum jams burn during cooking, but this can be avoided by cooking the jam in a frying pan instead of a saucepan.
Cook Yulia Simonchuk shared a recipe for a delicious, thick plum jam in a pan that will be very successful on Instagram.
It is best to choose a cast iron pan for cooking. The most important thing is to stir the jam constantly!
Ingredients:
- plums - 0.5 liters
- sugar - 0.5 liters
- citric acid - tip of a knife
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the plums, remove the pits and cut the fruit.
2. Put the plums in a frying pan and cook for 5 minutes over high heat.
3. Then add sugar, stir, bring to a boil and cook for another 5 minutes.
4. Add citric acid and cook for another 1 minute.
5. Pour the hot jam into sterile jars and close.
