Pitted cherry jam "Five minutes": the most popular recipe
It is quite possible to make cherry jam without any hassle and in just 5 minutes. To do this, use the recipe with the loud name "Five Minutes". And, of course, the whole cooking process will not take 5 minutes, but it is the cooking of the jam that takes so much time.
Food blogger Irina (nickname: ira.shaf_cooking) shared a recipe for cherry jam "Five Minutes" on her Instagram page.
Ingredients for 1 serving of jam:
- pitted cherries - 1 kg
- sugar - 600 g
Method of preparation:
1. Put the cherries in a wide saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring.
2. When the cherries are boiling, add 1 cup of sugar (200 g). Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly.
3. When the first 5 minutes have passed, add the next glass of sugar and cook again for 5 minutes.
4. Then repeat with the third glass of sugar. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Put the hot jam in sterile jars and close with sterile lids.
