Cherries are a versatile berry that goes well in various desserts. And to enjoy delicious pastries in winter, you need to prepare cherries now. Cherries in their own juice are the perfect solution.

Ingredients:

  • cherries - 3 kg

  • sugar - 600-750 g

Method of preparation:

1. Wash and pit the cherries.

2. Put the cherries in a deep bowl, sprinkle with sugar. Cover and leave for 3 hours at room temperature.

3. Stir the cherries and put them on medium heat. Stir to dissolve the sugar, but do not bring to a boil. Remove from the heat.

4. Put the cherries in clean, dry jars. Pour the juice over the top.

5. Cover and sterilize the jars. Sterilize for 15 minutes from the moment of boiling.

6. Close the lids and turn the jars upside down.
