Pita bread tubes with cheese filling: crispy and light
Cheese-filled pita bread tubes are a dish that is ideal for both breakfast and snacking. And thanks to its compact form and ease of consumption, it can also be taken on the go.
On Instagram, a food blogger with the nickname cook with me at home showed how to make pita bread tubes. She also told us which cheese is best for this dish and what else to add to the filling to make the dish taste unforgettable.
Ingredients
- pita bread - 1-2 pieces
- cheese - 180 gr
- boiled eggs - 5 pcs
- dill
- parsley
- green onions
- sour cream - 2-3 tbsp
- salt
- pepper
- ghee - for frying
Method of preparation
1. Grate cheese and boiled eggs on a coarse grater.
2. Add spices, chopped herbs and sour cream.
3. Cut the pita bread into rectangles.
4. Wrap the filling in pita bread in the form of a tube.
5. Fry on both sides in hot oil until crispy. The heat should be slightly above average.
6. Put the tubes on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
7. Serve them hot or cold.
