Pilaf in a new way: how to cook a familiar dish in an original way
Classic pilaf is rice, meat, and carrots and onions. But this dish can be made much more interesting. To do this, you need to add a few ingredients.
The idea of cooking a hearty pilaf with chicken, cherry tomatoes, and olives was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Evgeniia with the nickname evgeniakarpa. The rice variety to choose is camolino.
Ingredients for 3-4 servings:
- camolino rice - 200-250 g
- chicken thighs - 3-4 pcs.
- onion - 1 large
- olives - 100 g
- cherry - 200 g
- garlic - fresh or dry
- salt, pepper
- parsley
Method of preparation:
1. Remove the bone from the hips.
2. Cut them into 2 parts.
3. Fry in vegetable oil on 2 sides until crispy.
4. Fry the onion in the same frying pan.
5. Add the olives and cherry tomatoes.
6. When cherry tomatoes are slightly soft, add salt, spices, rice.
7. Pour water in a ratio of 1:2 or slightly more.
8. Rotate the top of the hip figure.
9. Season them with salt and seasoning.
10. Cover with a lid.
