Pickled tomatoes with beets for winter: turn out very juicy and flavorful

It is in August that housewives actively preserve tomatoes. The product is combined with a variety of vegetables. Beetroot is ideal for this purpose as it adds juiciness, preserves the rich red color and integrity of the tomatoes.

The idea of cooking tomatoes with beets for the winter was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Anna with the nickname annet_days. In addition to beets, the recipe contains apple, garlic, onion, and various spices.

Technology of cooking tomatoes:

1. Put 3 thin slices of apple, beetroot and onion, garlic, a few pieces of horseradish root, sprigs of parsley, horseradish, dill, cherry or currant leaves, a few peppercorns, and bay leaf in each jar.

2. Fill with tomatoes and cover with boiling water for 20 minutes.

Ingredients for the marinade:

  • water - 3 liters
  • sugar - 12 tbsp
  • salt - 3 tbsp
  • 9% vinegar - 160 g

Method of preparation:

1. Drain the water from the jars into the marinade pot and add more water to make 3 liters.

2. Add sugar and salt and bring to a boil.

3. Turn off and add vinegar.

4. Pour the hot marinade into jars, cover with lids, turn upside down and wrap for a day.
