Pickled artichoke: surprise your family with an unusual preservation
The artichoke is a gourmet vegetable endowed not only with an interesting appearance but also with a large amount of vitamins and a unique flavor. It can be grilled, steamed, stuffed, and even pickled.
Food blogger Eduard Nasyrov shared on Instagram how to marinate an artichoke to make a very interesting appetizer. On his page, he showed two ways to preserve this vegetable.
Main ingredients:
- Antishock
- Lemon
- Water
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the artichoke from the hard petals, cut off the top, cut in half. Remove the "loose" core.
2. Put the vegetable in water with lemon and cook for 30 minutes. Can be steamed.
Ingredients for artichoke in vinegar for 3 jars:
- Water - 1 glass
- Apple cider vinegar - 2/3 cup
- Salt - ½ tsp
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Allspice - 3-4 pcs
Method of preparation:
1. Put the artichokes in jars.
2. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade and boil.
3. Pour the hot marinade over the vegetable.
4. Screw up the jars. They will be ready in 5 days.
Ingredients for artichoke in oil for 1 jar:
- Lemon zest - 2 slices
- Vinegar - 1 tbsp
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Salt
- Pepper
- Thyme
- Oil - 1 cup
Method of preparation:
1. Put the artichoke in sterilized jars.
2. Pour the marinade and twist.
3. It will be ready in a day.
