Philadelphia cheese from sour cream: how to make at home

"Philadelphia" is a delicate, creamy cream cheese that is part of many restaurant dishes. You can also buy this product in stores, but it costs a lot. But this cheese can also be made at home. All you need is regular budget sour cream.

Ingredients:

  • sour cream from 20% and above – 3 packs
  • salt – 1 tsp.
  • lemon juice – 1 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Put sour cream in a deep bowl, add salt and lemon juice, and mix well with a whisk.

2. Place cheesecloth tightly in a colander so that the sour cream does not leak out.

3. Wrap it up, and put the load on top.

4. Leave to drain overnight at room temperature.

5. The cheese will be ready in the morning.

6. You can eat it immediately or put it in the refrigerator for 4-8 hours to make the texture of the cheese firm.
