Perfect cottage cheese bagels with an unusual filling: recipe and cooking secrets from Sava Libkin
Simple but delicious flavored bagels with jam are the perfect treat for a festive tea party. The most important thing when making a sweet dish is to make a good dough, which will make the bagels soft and airy, and of course, the filling is important. It can be made from berries, fruits, dried fruits, nuts, chocolate, and any jam to your liking.
Popular Ukrainian restaurateur and chef Sava Libkin shared on Instagram a recipe for perfect cottage cheese bagels with the most delicious jam, which you can prepare in just 30 minutes.
ingredients
- dry cottage cheese - 200 g
- powdered sugar - 200 g
- baking soda - 0.5 tsp.
- butter - 200 g
- flour - 450 g
- eggs - 6 pcs.
- any jam to your taste
- sour cream - 100 g
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- salt - a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve to make it tender and airy.
2. Place the cottage cheese and softened butter in a bowl.
3. Grind the yolks with sugar, and add sour cream and flour.
4. Quench the baking soda with lemon juice and add to the dough, mix.
5. Cover the finished dough with a towel and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
6. After that, divide the dough into 200 grams pieces and roll each one into a circle to a thickness of 4-5 millimeters.
7. Cut the resulting circle into triangles and put 1/2 teaspoon of jam in each.
8. Roll up the bagels and place them on a lightly oiled baking sheet.
9. Place in a preheated 200°C oven and bake until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
10. Sprinkle the finished bagels with powdered sugar.
