Perfect avocado toast for breakfast: a basic recipe

Avocado toast is an ideal breakfast option. It is nutritious, tasty, and very quick to prepare. Thanks to its properties, it will give your body strength and energy until lunchtime.

Greatist recently shared how to make the best avocado toast. It takes only 15 minutes to prepare it.

Ingredients

  • Red onion - 1 pc
  • White vinegar - 1.5 cups
  • Sugar - ¼ cup
  • Salt - 2 tsp
  • Water - 1 glass
  • Bay leaf - 1 pc
  • Cilantro - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - ½ tsp
  • Black peppercorns - ½ tsp.
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Avocado - ½ pc
  • Whole grain bread - 1 slice
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • Pickled onions
  • Microcilantro
  • Red pepper flakes

Method of preparation

1. First, prepare the pickled onions. Shred the vegetable and put it in a glass bowl.

2. Add vinegar, sugar, salt, water, bay leaf, cilantro, mustard seeds, black pepper and garlic to a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook until the sugar dissolves.

3. Pour the marinade over the onions and let it stand until the liquid reaches room temperature.

4. Put the onions in an airtight container and refrigerate for 2 hours.

5. Mash the avocado slices with a fork and place them on the toast. Drizzle with lemon and add salt.

6. Top with pickled onions, microcilantro and red pepper flakes. Serve to the table.
