Perfect apple strudel for tea in 20 minutes
If you want to make a simple but tasty treat for tea, apple strudel is a great option. It is based on apples and puff pastry.
Culinary expert Anatolii Dobrovolskyi shared a simple recipe for a delicious apple, cinnamon, and vanilla strudel on Instagram, which will be a great treat for tea and, as an option, even a festive dessert (to watch the video, scroll to the end).
Ingredients:
- Unleavened puff pastry – 500 g
- Apples – 1 kg
- Nuts – 50 g
- Raisins – 100 g
- Butter – 70-100 g
- Ground cinnamon – 1/2 tbsp
- Vanilla sugar – 1/2 tbsp
- Chicken egg – 1 pc
- Powdered sugar – 1-2 tbsp
- Flour for dusting the workplace – 1 tbsp
Method of preparation:
1. Pour boiling water over the raisins and leave.
2. Peel and dice the apples.
3. Chop the nuts with a knife.
4. Put the sliced apples in a frying pan and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
5. Transfer to a bowl, add cinnamon, vanilla sugar, raisins, nuts, and mix.
6. Roll out the dough.
7. Put the filling in the middle of the strudel, sprinkle it with sugar, and put butter on top of the filling, gently roll it up.
8. Put the finished strudel on a baking sheet covered with parchment.
9. Beat the eggs and brush the strudel.
10. Put it in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 180°C.
The dish will be very tasty, flavorful, and moderately sweet.
