Pasta with shrimp: add Mediterranean flavors to your diet
It turns out that you don't have to travel to Italy to taste real pasta. You can easily cook it at home and enjoy a delicious dish with Mediterranean motifs.
Food blogger Olga Ryabenko knows exactly how to do it. She posted a recipe for shrimp pasta on Instagram and claims that it is the best pasta she has ever tasted.
Ingredients
- Spaghetti – 300 gr
- Shrimps – 400 gr
- Carrots – 1 pc
- Onion – 1 pc
- Tomato paste – 1 tbsp
- Parsley – 2 stalks
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- White dry wine – 100 ml
- Water – 200 ml
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Thyme
- Paprika
- Cherry tomatoes – 3 pcs
Method of preparation
1. Peel the shrimp from the head, shells, and intestines. Leave 3-4 shrimps unpeeled.
2. Cut carrots, onions, and garlic into small cubes.
3. Pour olive oil into a saucepan, and when it boils, add the shrimp shells, carrots, onions, garlic and parsley. Fry for 7-10 minutes.
4. Add wine, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme and tomato paste. And cook until the liquid has evaporated twice.
5. Blend the mixture in a blender and strain through a sieve.
6. Return the sauce to the saucepan and cook for another 10 minutes.
7. Add the peeled and unpeeled shrimp 2 minutes before the end of the time.
8. Cook the spaghetti in salted water according to the time indicated on the package.
9. Put the pasta in the sauce, add the butter and mix well.
10. Add fresh cherry tomatoes.
