Pancakes without yeast: what to add to the batter so that they are puffy
Puffy pancakes are one of the most popular breakfast options. They are served with your favorite jam, condensed milk, or just sour cream.
A food blogger with the nickname tania_sheremet_ shared how to make pancakes without yeast on Instagram. According to her recipe, they will turn out puffy anyway.
Ingredients
- egg - 1 pc
- salt - ½ tsp
- sugar - 3 tsp
- warm 2.5% kefir - 300 ml
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
- soda - 1/3 tsp
- flour - 280 g
- vanilla sugar
- oil for frying
Method of preparation.
1. Break an egg into a bowl. Add sugar and salt and mix.
2. Add warm kefir, mix, sifted flour, baking powder, and baking soda, and mix until smooth. Transfer to a pastry bag.
3. Squeeze on a frying pan with heated oil. This can be done with a spoon too.
4. The pancakes should be 80% cooked on one side. Fry over low heat, turn over and fry for about a minute on the second side.
5. Remove from the pan and put on a paper towel.
