Lagman is a popular Central Asian national dish based on noodles, vegetables, and meat. The soup is very simple to prepare, all you need to do is not overcook it and add enough spices.

Ukrainian actress and TV presenter Olha Sumskaya shared a recipe for her signature lagman on Instagram stories, which you can easily make.

Lagman recipe

Ingredients:

  • water - 1-1.5 liters
  • noodles - a handful
  • chicken fillet - 1 pc.
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • bell pepper - 1 pc.
  • oil - 1-2 tbsp
  • butter - 30 g
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • tomatoes - 2 pcs.
  • tomato - 2-4 tbsp
  • salt, pepper - to taste

Method of preparation:

  1. Cut the fillet, and fry well in vegetable oil.
  2. Dice the onion, carrots, and tomatoes and add everything to the fillet, season with salt and pepper and mix, add the tomato, stir and simmer for about 15 minutes, and pour in a little water.
  3. Boil the noodles until tender, be sure to drain them in a colander, then add a little butter to them and add them to the meat and vegetables, mix, and serve.

Sprinkle the dish with herbs if desired.
