Not pilaf: how to cook crumbly rice with meat and vegetables in a skillet for dinner
Not only can rice be used to make pilaf, but it can also be boiled without salt, oil, or spices. Rice is also often added to salads, milk porridge, and puddings.
The cook shared a recipe for delicious rice with chicken, vegetables, spices, and garlic on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- long-grain steamed rice – 1 cup
- fillet – 300 g
- carrots – 2 pcs.
- onion – 2 pcs.
- garlic – 4-5 cloves
- seasoning for pilaf – to taste
- oil, salt, pepper
- water – 2.5 cups
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the carrots into strips, dice the onion, and fry until soft. Add the chicken fillet, salt and pepper. Cook until the meat is done.
2. Rinse the rice until transparent, add to the vegetables and meat, cover with water, and add pilaf seasoning and grated garlic.
3. Close the lid and cook over low heat until tender and the water has evaporated.
IMPORTANT: do not stir anything!
