Not just boiled: what to bake new potatoes with in the oven
Soft and juicy new potatoes can not only be boiled but also baked in the oven with cheese. The vegetable will turn out crispy and golden. Be sure to serve with sauce and a fresh salad.
The idea of cooking baked new potatoes with cheese was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olena Karpiuk (alionakarpiuk). For the sauce, it is better to use yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
Ingredients:
- young boiled potatoes
- favorite cheese – 200-300 g
- butter
- salad yogurt – 300 g
- dill
- garlic – 2-3 cloves
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the new potatoes and boil them in salted water until almost tender.
2. Cover a baking sheet with parchment and grease with vegetable oil.
3. Grate the cheese and sprinkle it on the parchment.
4. Put the halved potatoes on top.
5. Put in a preheated oven to 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
6. To make the sauce, mix the salad yogurt, dill, garlic, and spices – stir until smooth.
7. Remove the potatoes from the oven and serve with the sauce.
