Shakshuka is not just an egg dish, but a full-fledged hearty meal. In addition to eggs, you need to add a lot of juicy vegetables to the pan, which are in full season right now. Everything is stewed together, exchanging juices, so it turns out extremely tasty.
The idea of making the perfect egg shakshuka was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Anna Tymoshenko (anna_timoshenko13). The main thing is to make even holes for the eggs.
Ingredients:
- eggs - 4 pcs.
- tomatoes - 3 pcs.
- paprika - 1 pc.
- onion - 1 pc.
- salt, pepper, Italian herbs
- butter or oil
Method of preparation:
1. Fry the chopped onion in butter or oil.
2. Add tomatoes and paprika.
3. Stir and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
4. Season with salt and pepper and add the eggs.
5. Cook under the lid over low heat for about 5 minutes.
6. Sprinkle with greens and eat with bread.
