No dough: a quick pie with zucchini and cheese for a snack
Homemade pies can be made not only with different fillings, but also from different doughs; the easiest to make is from phyllo, puff, shortcrust, and pita bread.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious and light zucchini pie made with phyllo dough.
Ingredients:
- 500 g of zucchini
- 100 g of feta cheese
- 150 g of hard cheese (I have 2 types)
- 25 g of dill, finely chopped
- 15 g of green onions, finely chopped
- 2 eggs
- 4-5 sheets of phyllo dough
- melted butter for greasing
- salt and pepper to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the zucchini, salt and leave for 20 minutes to get rid of excess moisture. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible and place the zucchini in a large bowl.
2. Add the herbs, chopped feta cheese and grated hard cheese, salt, and spices to the zucchini. Add the eggs and mix well.
3. Grease a shallow pie dish with butter. Place one sheet of phyllo dough and brush with melted butter. Add more sheets, overlapping each other to form a filling mold. Brush with butter.
4. Put the zucchini filling in the center of the mold. Fold the edges of the dough around the filling and brush with oil.
Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes or until the dough is golden.
