Never cook bacon in a deep fryer: expert warns of an unpleasant nuance
Fried bacon is a very common breakfast food in many countries around the world. Usually, it is fried in a pan, but if you have a deep fryer at home, many housewives prefer to use it.
Mirror looked into whether it is possible to deep-fry bacon. Nutritionist Brenda Peralta told us about certain nuances. They will make you abandon this idea.
The expert says that bacon is a fatty product that can cause smoke, splatter, and a very unpleasant odor when deep-fried. In addition, home deep or air fryers are usually not large, so it is difficult to fry several pieces of delicate bacon at once without damaging them.
Speaking specifically about air fryers, when frying bacon, fat droplets can drip down to the bottom of the appliance, causing the kitchen to fill with smoke and an extremely unpleasant odor.
And don't forget that after the bacon is fried, the fat remaining in the deep fat becomes unusable. That's why bacon should be fried in a pan with a little or no oil.
