Moist chocolate semolina cake with cherries: cooked with kefir

Semolina cake  is a delicious homemade cake based on semolina. The pastry is made mostly with kefir and various fillings: apple, cherries, banana, cottage cheese, and even pumpkin.

Food blogger Oksana Pashko shared a recipe for chocolate semolina with cherries on her YouTube channel (Cooking with Oksana Pashko).

Ingredients:

  • kefir - 250 ml
  • semolina - 200 g
  • cherries - 1 glass (200 ml)
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • sugar - 100 g
  • cocoa - 20 g
  • soda - 1 tsp. with a small slide

Method of preparation:

1. Pour the semolina with kefir. Stir and leave for 15 minutes to allow the semolina to swell.

2. Add baking soda to the finished semolina. Stir well.

3. Add the eggs and mix well again.

4. Add sugar and cocoa. Mix well.

5. Add the cherries to the dough. Stir and pour the dough into a greased mold.

6. Bake at 180 degrees for 35 minutes.
