You can preserve vegetables for the winter in different ways: with spices, garlic, mustard, and herbs. To make them crispy, you need to soak them in water beforehand.
Cook Maria shared on Instagram a recipe for assorted vegetables for the winter, which is prepared very quickly.
Ingredients:
- sugar - 200 g
- vinegar - 200 ml
- salt - 100 ml
- bay leaves - 2-3 pcs.
- black peppercorns - 5 pcs.
- allspice - 10 pcs.
- water - 5 liters
- dill umbrellas
- currant leaves, cherry leaves
Vegetables:
- onions
- carrots
- zucchini
- tomatoes
- bell pepper
- garlic
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the vegetables.
2. Add everything except the vinegar to the water, boil and add the vinegar.
3. Put herbs, leaves, chopped vegetables, pour boiling brine into the jars. Cover with lids and sterilize for 30 minutes.
4. Roll up the lids, wrap them until they cool.
