Mimosa Salad in a new way: what fish to make a salad with instead of sardines
Classic Mimosa is a salad with canned fish. You will also need vegetables and processed cheese. If you want to make the dish a little more dietary, use mackerel.

Ingredients:
- potatoes – 600 g
- carrots – 600 g
- onions – 150 g
- chicken eggs – 7 pcs.
- hard cheese – 200 g
- mackerel – 500 g
- parsley for decoration
- salt
Ingredients for the sauce:
- mayonnaise – 400 g
- cream cheese – 250 g
- lemon/lime zest and juice.
- salt and pepper – to taste.
Method of preparation:
1. Boil or bake the vegetables.
2. Peel and grate the vegetables.
3. Boil the eggs for 12 minutes after immersion in well-salted boiling water.
4. Peel and grate.
5. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
6. Season the diced onion with salt, sugar, and vinegar, toss well, and let marinate for 15 minutes. Then squeeze it out.
7. Divide the mackerel into small pieces.
8. For the sauce, mix all the ingredients.
9. Assemble the salad in layers in a mold with a diameter of 25-26 cm. Season each layer of vegetables and eggs with salt before spreading the sauce. For each layer, use 4-5 tablespoons of sauce.
10. When the whole cake is greased, wrap it in cling film and let it stand for at least 4 hours or overnight. Put parsley before serving.
