Mimosa can be prepared with mackerel and tuna. For a bright flavor, you can add green onions and processed cheese.

Cook Polina shared a recipe for a delicious Mimosa with melted cheese and canned sardines on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar
  • 2-3 potatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 cans of canned sardines
  • 120 g of processed cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 200-250 g. mayonnaise

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the vegetables, brush with vegetable oil, wrap in foil and put in a preheated 180 degree oven for +-60 minutes. Cool, peel and grate the cooked vegetables.

2. Finely chop the onion, add salt, sugar, vinegar, cover with hot water and marinate for 15 minutes. Then drain and add the onions to the sardines.

3. Put the potatoes in the first layer and spread with mayonnaise, then put the sardines with onions and sprinkle with grated melted cheese on top.

4. Next, put a layer of carrots with mayonnaise, then the protein with mayonnaise and the last layer - grated egg yolk. Refrigerate for several hours.
