Mimosa is a very simple, light and tasty salad made from boiled or baked vegetables. Fish is an essential ingredient in the dish. You can buy canned tuna, sprats, sardines, or baked mackerel.

The chef shared a recipe for a delicious Mimosa salad with tuna, hard cheese and blue onions on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes - 8 pcs.
  • eggs - 6 pcs.
  • carrots - 5 pcs.
  • red onions - 3 pcs.
  • canned tuna - 2 cans
  • hard cheese - 80-100 g
  • mayonnaise - 300 g
  • salt, black pepper and dried herbs - to taste
  • sugar 1 tbsp, salt 1 tsp for pickling onions

Method of preparation:

1. Boil eggs and potatoes. Peel and grate them.

2. Cut red onions into small cubes. Put them in a bowl, add sugar and salt, and pour boiling water over. Let the onions stand for at least 5 minutes. Then drain the water.

3. Assemble the salad in layers. Add a little salt and ground pepper between them.

Tip. Don't eat the salad right away. After cooking, it is better to refrigerate it for several hours or better overnight.
