Mimosa in a new way: recipe for a familiar salad with an interesting ingredient
One of the simplest, tastiest and most satisfying homemade salads is Mimosa, which based on canned fish, boiled vegetables, onions, and mayonnaise. For an original flavor, add processed cheese.
A cook shared a recipe for a delicious Mimosa salad with sardines, processed cheese and onions on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 3-4 eggs
- 2 carrots
- 2 potatoes
- mayonnaise
- sardines
- processed cheese - 2 pcs
- 1 onion (pre-marinated in vinegar, sugar and salt)
Method of preparation:
1. Boil and cool the vegetables. Peel and grate them.
2. Finely chop the onion, add salt, sugar, vinegar, and hot water and marinate for 15 minutes. After that, drain the water and add the onion to the sardines, mixing well.
3. Layer the salad: potatoes, sardines with onions, grated carrots, processed cheese, whites, and yolk. Grease each layer with mayonnaise!
