Homemade borscht

Ingredients:

  • Dried white mushrooms - 200 g
  • Smoked chicken wings - 800 g
How to make delicious borscht at home
  • Water - 6000 ml
  • Potatoes - 500 g
  • Cabbage - 800 g
Cabbage for borscht
  • Onion - 200 g
  • Carrots - 200 g
Carrots for roasting
  • Frying oil 80 ml
  • Beet - 600 g
  • Tomato paste - 150 g
Mushrooms for borscht
  • Sugar - 130 g
  • Salt - 60 g
Spices for the dish
  • Laurel leaf - 5 pcs.
  • Garlic - 60 g
  • Ground black pepper - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Pour water over dried mushrooms.

2. Cut chicken wings in half, then send to a pot and simmer the broth for 1.5-2 hours.

3. Dice the onions, cut the carrots and beets into bars.

4. Fry them in vegetable oil, add tomato paste and sugar, add water, stir stew until cooked.

5. Add potatoes to the pot with broth and cook until half-cooked.

6. Chop cabbage finely, add to the same and cook over low heat.

7. After 10-15 minutes, add salt, sugar, pepper, grated garlic and bay leaf.
