Meat and milk can accelerate aging and shorten life: an expert says. Exclusive
Many people simply cannot imagine their diet without fried meat. A juicy pork steak or a crusty kebab is a real treat. And such a daily ritual as adding milk to coffee or cereal is also indispensable. But it is these favorite and seemingly simple foods that can seriously change the state of our body and even accelerate the aging process.
In an exclusive commentary for OBOZREVATEL, nutritionist and consultant Aliona Yudina explained how fried meat and milk can affect human health and why eating these products helps accelerate the aging process.
The process that affects life expectancy and accelerates the body's natural aging is called protein glycosylation. In other words, it's the breakdown of cellular waste, sugar. Simple sugars, proteins, and lipids are involved in this reaction. If we are referring to fried meat, then as a result, such carcinogenic compounds accumulate and can lead to cancer.
Animal products contain saturated fat. Eating it in excessive quantities can provoke the formation of cholesterol plaques that clog blood vessels.
The nutritionist notes that in order for meat not to cause great harm to cells, it should be boiled, and if you really want to stew, bake, or fry, it must be marinated in an acidic environment – mineral water with lemon or kefir – before cooking. Ideally, meat consumption should be reduced to 1-2 times a week. And up to 4 times a week maximum.
Even if the kebab is fried without oil, there is still fat in the meat and it is exposed to fire, so carcinogenic compounds are also formed here.
The process of glycosylation in milk
Milk is fed to babies to help them grow and become stronger. Therefore, adults are not recommended to consume this product. The fact is that the body is already mature, and the cells continue to receive information that they need to grow further when drinking milk. And then, when a person is 30, the cell perceives it as 50 and begins to start the process of preparing for death.
Powerful protein glycosylation causes an active combination of fat and carbohydrates: cakes, processed meat in the form of sausages and sausages, and filtered coffee (you can drink no more than two cups a day and it will be very useful).
There are foods that help block protein glycosylation:
- curry
- turmeric
- leafy greens
- lettuce leaves
- parsley
- spinach
- green tea
- coffee.
What should be the diet to reduce glycosylation?
You need to eat a varied diet and it is not necessary to eat broccoli every day. You need to eat enough fruits, vegetables, and berries. Also cereals and legumes. Frequent snacking is quite harmful. In order to free your body from cellular debris, you can sometimes cause your body mild stress and skip lunch or dinner.
