Marquis cake with chocolate cream: how to make a spectacular dessert
The Marquis cake is dedicated to all chocolate lovers. Moist and fluffy chocolate sponge cake combined with custard chocolate cream creates an exquisite dessert that you will want to eat again and again.
Food blogger Tatyana with the nickname _tanyushina_ shared a recipe for Marquis chocolate cake with chocolate cream on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
For the cakes:
- eggs - 3 pcs
- sugar - 400 g
- butter - 250 g
- kefir - 250 ml
- flour - 400 g
- cocoa - 100 g
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
For the cream:
- condensed milk - 1 b
- water - 50 ml
- sugar - 100 g
- cocoa - 50 g
- flour - 2 tbsp
- butter - 250 g
Method of preparation:
1. Let's start with the preparation of cakes. To do this, beat the eggs with sugar.
2. Add melted butter and kefir to the resulting mass. Mix well.
3. Add flour and cocoa. Stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate the dough for 40 minutes.
4. After 40 minutes, take the dough out of the refrigerator and add the baking soda and lemon juice. Mix thoroughly.
5. Pour the resulting dough into the mold. Bake at 180 degrees for 70-75 minutes.
6. It is best to wrap the finished sponge cake in cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 4 hours. This will make it easier to cut into individual cakes.
7. Next up is the cream. For this, mix the condensed milk with water, sugar, flour and cocoa. Put on the fire and bring to a boil.
8. Cover the finished cream with cling film and let it cool to room temperature.
9. Beat the cooled cream together with soft butter until fluffy.
10. Form the cake. Divide the sponge cake into three separate cakes, cutting off the top. Assemble the cake, spreading cream over each layer. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
11. Decorate the cake as desired. Sprinkle with crumbs and coconut.
