Mackerel in 7 minutes: how to cook fish quickly and on a budget
If you need something quick to cook with fish for lunch or dinner, mackerel is the best option. In addition to baking, it can be deliciously boiled in a marinade – it's boiled and marinated at the same time. You will be surprised, but it takes only 7 minutes to cook.
Food blogger Mariana (hotuyte_ta_smakuyte) shared a recipe for boiled mackerel in marinade on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- mackerel - 2 pcs
- onion - 1 pc
Marinade:
- water - 100 ml
- vinegar - 50 ml
- oil - 50 ml
- seasoning (basil, garlic, tomato) - 1 tsp.
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper
Method of preparation:
1. First, prepare the mackerel for cooking: defrost, clean, wash, and cut into pieces. Put the chopped fish in a pan with a thick bottom.
2. Next, cut the onion into half rings and put it between the pieces of fish.
3. At this stage, mix the necessary ingredients for the marinade. Pour it over the fish.
4. Put the pot of fish on the fire and cook for 7 minutes.
