Lush Easter cake with zest, honey and raisins: a recipe for dough with warm milk and butter
Homemade Easter cakes can be made with yeast dough, or you can use dough without yeast. To make Easter cake fluffy and light, add butter to the dough, and it is better to cook the dough with warm milk.
The cook shared a recipe on Telegram for a very fluffy, tasty, and easy-to-make Easter cake with raisins, zest, and vanilla.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp. of sugar + 100 g
- 90 ml of warm milk
- 16 g of dry yeast
- 30 g of honey
- lemon and orange zest
- 3 eggs + 4 yolks
- 1 tbsp of vanilla extract
- 450 g of high protein flour
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 170 g of soft butter
- 140 g of raisins (scald with boiling water, soak in whiskey, then dry) + 1 tbsp of flour
Method of preparation:
1. Mix milk, yeast, sugar, stir and leave for 10 minutes.
2. Add honey, zest, vanilla extract, 100 g of sugar and mix.
3. Pour in the flour and salt and mix.
4. Add butter to the dough and knead well by hand or in a food processor.
5. Put the finished dough into a bowl and leave it to prove.
6. Add the raisins to the dough and mix well.
7. Put the finished dough into the molds, cover with cling film, and leave it for a while.
8. Bake the cakes at 165 C for 20-30 minutes.
