"Charlotte is one of the simplest and most delicious apple pies that can be made with or without baking soda. The most important thing is to make a good dough that does not require a lot of sugar.
The cook shared a recipe for a delicious Charlotte apple pie on Instagram, which will be the perfect dessert for tea.
Ingredients:
- apples - 4-5 pcs.
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- sugar - 150 g
- butter - 45 g
- wheat flour - 150 g
- baking powder - 8 g
- salt - 1/4 tsp.
- sugar with natural vanilla
Method of preparation:
1. Peel three apples and cut into cubes (1 cm). Peel the remaining apples from the core and thinly slice them into petals, pour lemon juice over them to prevent them from darkening.
2. Beat the eggs with sugar and salt with a mixer until white and foamy, then gradually pour in the oil. Next, add the flour and baking powder and mix gently with a spatula to make a smooth dough.
3. Add the diced apples and mix well so that every piece of apple is in the dough. Pour the mixture into the baking dish, put the apple petals on top, and put in the oven preheated to 180°C for 50-55 minutes.
4. Check the readiness with a wooden skewer, it should come out dry from the cake.
Cool the cake and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
