Low-calorie garlic croutons without frying: how to make a delicious snack at home
You might say that you can easily buy such croutons in the store. But there's nothing better than making a healthy and budget-friendly analog of the popular snack yourself. The main advantage of garlic croutons is that they don't need to be fried in a pan in a lot of oil. This makes them less unhealthy and high in calories. Minimum ingredients and time - maximum flavor and pleasure.
Chef Kostiantyn Ohanezov shared his recipe for no-fry garlic croutons on his Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- garlic – 1 head
- cheese – 100 g
- greens – 1 bunch
- vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
- bread (stale) – 1 pc.
Method of preparation:
1. Put the head of garlic in a container of water and heat in the microwave until soft – about 3 minutes.
2. Ready garlic peel and mash with a fork.
3. Grate the cheese, and chop the greens.
4. Mix cheese, herbs, garlic and oil.
5. Cut the bread into slices and roll in the mixture.
6. Put on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes.
