Cottage cheese dough is an ideal option when you want to make low-calorie pastries. It is suitable for making the popular and beloved apple charlotte. It has minimal flour content and no sugar. And this does not affect the texture, because the charlotte is very fluffy and airy.
Food blogger Olha Romanchuk (olya_romanchyk) shared a recipe for apple charlotte made from cottage cheese dough on her Instagram page, which is low in calories.
Ingredients:
- apples – 4 pcs
- eggs – 2 pcs
- sweetener – 2 tsp
- whole wheat flour – 2 tbsp
- baking powder – 1 tsp
- cottage cheese – 90 g
- vanilla
Method of preparation:
1. Peel and core the apples, cut into cubes.
2. Add eggs and sweetener to the cottage cheese. Stir first with a fork, and then continue to beat with a mixer. The mass should increase in volume.
3. Add the baking powder, flour, and vanilla to the mixture. Mix with a spatula.
4. Add the apples. Mix well. Pour the batter into the mold.
5. Bake at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
