Who doesn't love a delicious, hearty, and easy-to-make liver cake? In the classic version, this dish is made from chicken liver, greased with mayonnaise and fried. But it's worth noting that you can add new ingredients to the dish and it will take on a completely different taste and appearance.

Culinary expert Yevhen Klopotenko shared an unusual recipe for a delicious liver cake with berries and onion confit on his website.

Ingredients:

  • chicken liver - 500 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • flour - 2-3 tbsp
  • currants (frozen) - 150 g
  • cream cheese - 400 g
  • onion confit - 100 g
  • oil (for frying)
  • salt, pepper - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Defrost the berries at room temperature.

2. Peel the liver, chop it and beat in a blender until smooth.

3. Add flour and eggs to the finished mixture and beat well again. Season with salt and pepper and mix.

4. Heat a pan and fry the pancakes.

5. Transfer them to a plate and let them cool.

6. Spread the pancakes with cottage cheese, put berries on top, and drizzle some onion confit on top.

7. Garnish the dish with berries and put it in the refrigerator to soak for at least 2 hours.
