Light soups are the best dish for lunch. In winter, it's best to make them heartier by adding meat, fish, and offal.

Cook Olena shared a recipe for a delicious, flavorful soup with canned fish, millet, and herbs on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • sardine in oil - 2 pcs.
  • potatoes - 3-4 pcs.
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • carrot - 1 pc.
  • millet - 150-180 g
  • bay leaf, allspice

Method of preparation:

1. Dice the potatoes and onions, grate the carrots, rinse the millet.

2. Fry the onions and carrots in a little oil until golden brown.

3. Bring the water to a boil, put the potatoes in the water, add the millet and roast after 10 minutes. Cook for 10 minutes over low heat under a lid.

4. Add canned food, salt, spices, cook for another 5 minutes and the soup is ready.

When serving, you can add herbs to the soup!
