Lentil soup: how to cook a bright first course in 10 minutes

Lentils are not only healthy but also very tasty. It also has a rich color that will be the main ingredient in any dish.

A food blogger with the nickname elena_ermolenko__ offered to cook red lentil soup on Instagram. According to her, this dish does not require much effort and can be prepared in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Red lentils - 200 gr
  • Onion - 1 pc
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Large carrot - 1 pc
  • Salt
  • Paprika
  • Mint
  • Chili pepper

The way of cooking:

1. Fry the onion and garlic in a mixture of butter and oil.

2. Add peeled and chopped into small pieces (or grated) carrots, salt, and seasonings. Stir to combine.

3. Add 2 liters of water, and cook until the carrots are tender.

4. Add lentils and cook for 10 minutes.

5. When all the ingredients are ready, blend with a blender.

6. Optionally, add lemon juice or yogurt. Serve garnished with herbs.
